Casting News:

The casting for our summer show, BROADWAY ON ARGYLE ST is now detailed on the show’s own page. CLICK HERE to find out who’s on the Neptune MainStage this August.

We are thrilled to announce casting news for two of our long running shows, Shakespeare On Trial and Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Thanks to all of the talented actors who submitted for these projects, making the decisions so very tough.

Shakespeare On Trial

After more than 500 performances, the originators of the roles in Shakespeare On Trial, Simon Henderson and Jeremy Webb are stepping aside in the Fall of 2015. Future tours of the long-running play will feature the talents of two new actors:

Writer/Producer Jeremy Webb says “Simon and I have had years of fun with this play. I wish those two younger, thinner, better-looking idiots a great run. They’ll be great.”

The new cast will take over in the Fall of 2015 as the show gets booked for school shows and theatre tours. Rossetti will play Iago, Hamlet, Macbeth and Juliet. As Shakespeare, Schwager will have to convince the audience/jury that he’s not out-of-date and dull.

The two actors appeared together last Summer in Festival Antigonish’s production of The Motor Trade.

Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

Jeremy Webb has been playing his one-man version of Dickens’ classic since 2003 (over 500 shows) and is excited to announce that the actor taking over the role is no stranger to the show.

RhysRhys Bevan John was there with me at the very beginning, as part of the original crew. He operated puppets in the show for at least 3-4 years, along with Bill Wood.”

Bevan John will take over the show in December 2015 at the end of a busy year that started with Neptune’s hit comedy The 39 Steps.

“Rhys has the perfect combination of comedic skill, theatricality and all the physical theatre ability anyone could wish for for this play, ” says Webb. “He’s also toured so much. He knows this gig. He’ll be way too good.”

In August, 2015, we present a musical Summer event: BROADWAY on Argyle St.
